What we do
Everything your air conditioning needs, from one local team
From choosing the right unit to keeping it running for years, we handle the whole job ourselves. No subcontractors, no being passed from one company to the next.
How it works
One system that heats and cools
Air conditioning does not create cold air out of nothing. It moves heat from one place to another, using a refrigerant that travels between the unit outside and the one on your wall.
- 1The indoor unit draws in room air and passes it over a coil.
- 2Refrigerant carries the heat through two slim copper pipes.
- 3In summer the outdoor unit lets that heat go outside. In winter it works in reverse and pulls warmth in from the outdoor air, even on a cold day.
Why it makes sense
More warmth out than you put in
Because it moves heat instead of making it, a modern system in heating mode can give out three to four times the energy it uses. A plug in electric heater only ever gives back what goes in.
Heating and cooling in one
No separate fans in summer and heaters in winter. One unit on the wall does both.
Quiet enough to sleep
The indoor units on modern systems run so softly that most people forget they are on.
Cleaner air
Built in filters catch dust, pollen and pet hair, which hay fever sufferers really notice.
Control from your phone
Many systems come with an app, so you can warm the house up on your way home.

Servicing and repairs
Is your system telling you something?
Air conditioning usually gives a few hints before it stops working altogether. If you notice any of these, it is worth booking a check.
We service and repair systems we did not fit too, whatever the make.

Things people often ask us
Can't see your question here? Call us on 01603 567414 and we will talk it through.
Email usHow much does home air conditioning cost?
It depends on the size of the room, the type of unit and how far the pipes need to run. A single wall mounted system is the most affordable option, and multi room systems cost more. We give you a fixed written price after the free survey, so you know exactly where you stand.
Can air conditioning heat my home as well?
Yes. Modern systems are heat pumps, so the same unit that cools you in summer can warm the room in winter. Lots of our customers use theirs more for heating than cooling.
How long does installation take?
A single room is usually done in a day. Multi room and ducted systems can take two or three days. We will tell you how long your job should take when we quote.
Do I need planning permission?
Most homes do not, but there are limits on where the outdoor unit can go, and listed buildings, flats and conservation areas can have extra rules. We check this during the survey and point you in the right direction if permission is needed.
Is it noisy?
Not really. Indoor units are designed to run quietly enough for bedrooms, and we place the outdoor unit carefully so it does not bother you or the neighbours.
How often should it be serviced?
Once a year is right for most homes. Regular servicing keeps the system efficient and the air clean, and many manufacturers ask for it to keep the warranty valid.
